@bubu:bubu1.euBubuHmpf, vagrant libvirt isn't working at all for me16:05:42
* @bubu:bubu1.euBubu hates vagrant with a passion16:06:10

@bubu:bubu1.euBubuvagrant libvirt is currently barely maintained17:24:38
@bubu:bubu1.euBubuso I guess it's unlikely it'll support my nftables firewall setup anytime soon :-/17:24:58
@eighthave:matrix.org_hchmm, strange, it generally works quite easily for me17:39:07
@eighthave:matrix.org_hcah, you have a firewall setup on your machine, then yeah, it'll be hard to do virtualized networking17:39:37
@eighthave:matrix.org_hcalso with plain libvirt or VirtualBox17:39:54
@bubu:bubu1.euBubuit's usually relatively easy do debug what goes wrong when using libvirt17:42:36
@bubu:bubu1.euBububut through vagrant that's totally opaque17:42:50
@bubu:bubu1.euBubunow the archlinux basebox works. the fdroid basebox doesn't 😿17:43:17
@freenode_cdesai:matrix.orgcdesaihttps://developer.android.com/android1117:56:16
@freenode_cdesai:matrix.orgcdesaiAndroid 11 Beta is here17:56:16
@freenode_cdesai:matrix.orgcdesai I'd love if we can get F-Droid to target API 30 by the time it's launched :) 17:56:36
@bubu:bubu1.euBubu _hc: I think we can also finally throw away all the sdk provisioning. If any package still doesn't work with the gradle auto install, they can set this up in the recipe 18:18:57
@bubu:bubu1.euBubuwtf, there's now ndk r21d...19:14:35
@eighthave:matrix.org_hc cdesai: I think no one is opposed to the idea in principle, someone just needs to go through the changes and deal with them, test them etc. 19:17:24
@freenode_cdesai:matrix.orgcdesai _hc: yeah, I left some minor comments a week or so ago 19:17:59
@eighthave:matrix.org_hcthere is that issue to track what needs to happen to bump the target SDK, is that where you commented?19:18:32
@freenode_cdesai:matrix.orgcdesai c!881 - on the MR directly. went through that and the upstream roboelectric issue, haven't tested yet. 19:23:39
@freenode_[gibot]:matrix.org[gibot][client] !881: WIP: Update Android Gradle plugin to 3.6.3 and ta… - https://gitlab.com/fdroid/fdroidclient/merge_requests/88119:23:39
@eighthave:matrix.org_hcman wtf every time I come back to android dev, it takes like an hour just to reopen a project and get it running it. Why does gradle and all the deps need to be redownloaded all the time20:25:38
@freenode_wb9688:matrix.orgwb9688Because new versions…20:30:13
@freenode_wb9688:matrix.orgwb9688But yeah, I have exactly the same issue20:30:23
@eighthave:matrix.org_hcah no, I haven't changed the gradle or jar versions20:30:35
@freenode_wb9688:matrix.orgwb9688Hmm… then I have no idea. Do you not clear ~/.gradle or wherever it caches that stuff?20:31:18
@freenode_wb9688:matrix.orgwb9688 Plus Android Studio in general is a piece of crap imho. I could rant about it for hours, though there unfortunately isn't anything better for Android development I think. 20:32:54
@freenode_cdesai:matrix.orgcdesai$EDITOR /s20:34:34
@freenode_wb9688:matrix.orgwb9688 cdesai: Well, NeoVim is nice and all, but for Android (or Java in general) I need some "IntelliSense" (or whatever you want to call it). I think there's that Eclipse-based language server, but I'm not sure how good that (and the language server plug-ins for NeoVim) is. I'm also missing the (pretty worthless anyway) layout preview and I have no idea how to do restart activity without Android Studio. That 20:38:29
@freenode_wb9688:matrix.orgwb9688 also doesn't solve the numerous issues with the Android Emulator. 20:38:34
