When it says that custom repo can be setup, the first thing came into my mind is that F-Droid supports third-party repo. Well, this is mostly a client-side feature. With this in my mind, I find that it talks about some code. Ok, so it's not related to F-Droid. Then what's "it"? I'm confused here. When I re-read the sentence, I found that maybe the "it" means the F-Droid in the same sentence. yes. its = F-Droid's. "Like the apps F-Droid distributes, all its code is free and libre, too." = "Like the apps F-Droid distributes, all F-Droid's code is free and libre, too." it's pointing out that not just all apps in our repo are FOSS but our own code (to run the repo etc.) is too, which means anyone can use our code to run their own repo. (one could of course set up a custom repo without using our code, but being able to reuse code is one of the advantages of FOSS). | 14:18:13 |
