@rdfg77:kde.orglinsuiSo it's somethikng similiar to glossary but forced by weblate?08:30:50
@_oftc_emmapeel:matrix.orgemmapeelyes, i think is the way to force, and the glossary is not08:31:20
@_oftc_emmapeel:matrix.orgemmapeelhttps://docs.weblate.org/en/latest/admin/checks.html#custom-checks 08:32:21
@_oftc_emmapeel:matrix.orgemmapeel linsui: for markdown, another flag i configure at component level is md-text, that triggers several markdown related checks 08:37:08
@_oftc_emmapeel:matrix.orgemmapeelyou can configure them at component settings/translation08:37:34
@rdfg77:kde.orglinsuiI want to mark some strings as read-only in source code. Currently it seems I can only do that in the weblate UI.08:38:26
@_oftc_emmapeel:matrix.orgemmapeelwhat is the translation format?08:39:01
@rdfg77:kde.orglinsuiCurrenly I thought we covert markdown to po.08:39:23
@rdfg77:kde.orglinsuiThe markdown support in weblate is awful.08:39:35
@_oftc_emmapeel:matrix.orgemmapeelgot .po files, what i do with strings that are not translatable, is to remove them from the .pot file :D:D08:39:51
@rdfg77:kde.orglinsuiLol, good idea. :)08:40:28
@_oftc_emmapeel:matrix.orgemmapeeli have an ignore.pot file, and as part of my update script i remove the strings it contains from the new template. they never reach weblate08:40:41
@_oftc_emmapeel:matrix.orgemmapeelthen at build time they are created again, but they are empty, so they come in the source lang08:41:12
@rdfg77:kde.orglinsuiThat sounds hacky...08:41:59
@_oftc_emmapeel:matrix.orgemmapeelthis is the magic line at 16 https://gitlab.torproject.org/tpo/community/l10n/-/blob/main/bin/updatepot.sh?ref_type=heads#L16 08:42:08
@rdfg77:kde.orglinsuiMaybe we can ignore code blocks when converting markdown to po. Generally they are not translatable.08:42:48
@_oftc_emmapeel:matrix.orgemmapeelhere an example ignore.pot https://gitlab.torproject.org/tpo/translation/-/tree/support-portal/src?ref_type=heads08:43:30
@_oftc_emmapeel:matrix.orgemmapeelmost of it is commands08:43:48
@rdfg77:kde.orglinsuiInteresting. :)08:45:16
@pitroig:sindominio.netpitroig hello
i was seen txopi comments.
for what i understand, one person translates and another approves and then when it is finished, you get the translation in F-Droid.
or am i wrong? approve is not needed?
08:45:38
@rdfg77:kde.orglinsuiApprove is not needed.08:49:23
@rdfg77:kde.orglinsuiAll translation are merged into the code regularly.08:50:58
@pitroig:sindominio.netpitroigthanks, i didn't understood that then, as for example, in Catalan we have the website translated, so next time that you update, will it be published? https://hosted.weblate.org/projects/f-droid/-/ca/08:56:03
@_oftc_Besnik_b:matrix.orgBesnik_b joined the room.08:56:49
@rdfg77:kde.orglinsuiNo, the translation is in the repo but not built. See https://gitlab.com/fdroid/fdroid-website/-/blob/master/_config.yml?ref_type=heads#L51.08:57:15
@rdfg77:kde.orglinsuiIf it's ready I thought you can open an MR.08:57:50
@pitroig:sindominio.netpitroigMR?08:58:01
@pitroig:sindominio.netpitroigmerge request?08:58:11
@rdfg77:kde.orglinsuiOr an issue.08:58:17
@pitroig:sindominio.netpitroig ok, thanks linsui 08:58:30
