@_oftc_jochensp:matrix.orgjochenspprobably, just give it some time14:57:34
@_oftc_Izzy:matrix.orgIzzyStill not shown up there. And birdie accounts must be addressed as @account@twitter.com (our toot just pinged @Google@mastodon.technology – no explicit instance means home instance).16:21:32
@_oftc_jochensp:matrix.orgjochenspyour toot from yesterday is there, so maybe wait a little more ;)16:22:54
@SylvieLorxu:matrix.orgSylviaHow many characters was the message? Could it be the bridge failed to send it because it was over 240?18:27:04
@_oftc_jochensp:matrix.orgjochenspI think the bridge will split it into multiple messages automatically (look at the tweet from Jul 24. for example)18:30:20
@SylvieLorxu:matrix.orgSylviaThen I have no clue :D18:39:24
@_oftc_jochensp:matrix.orgjochensp Sylvia: Marucs says the bridge uses https://moa.party/ maybe ask them 18:44:03
@_oftc_jochensp:matrix.orgjochensp FestplattenSchnitzel: I tested your debian-vagrant branch and the .raw box is 1T but logging into it only gives me 20G 18:46:46
@_oftc_jochensp:matrix.orgjochensp also on the gcc host the debian-vagrant hangs at "Waiting for domain to get an IP address..." 18:50:15
@_oftc_jochensp:matrix.orgjochensp michael: do you haven an idea here? ^ 18:50:41
@_oftc_Izzy:matrix.orgIzzy OK, I'd say give it until tomorrow. When it showed up, but (as expected) does not ping the Google accounts, I repeat the toot with @twitter.com instance added. 19:29:21
@festplattenschnitzel:matrix.orgFestplattenSchnitzel jochensp the libvirt or the virtualbox one? Emanual said something like "it might not work due to qemu conversion". I'll take a look. 19:39:58
@_oftc_jochensp:matrix.orgjochensplibvirt19:40:15
@_oftc_jochensp:matrix.orgjochenspthe conversion works here19:40:38
@_oftc_jochensp:matrix.orgjochenspthe the vagrant_box_image is 1T but when doing vagrant up it seems to put a 20G image on top19:41:21
@festplattenschnitzel:matrix.orgFestplattenSchnitzelSounds weird. Have you tested Virtualbox?19:43:08
@_oftc_jochensp:matrix.orgjochensptrying to set it up now19:43:29
@_oftc_jochensp:matrix.orgjochenspwith virtualbox tests run fine and the image is 1T19:50:08
@festplattenschnitzel:matrix.orgFestplattenSchnitzelGreat!19:50:32
@_oftc_jochensp:matrix.orgjochensp FestplattenSchnitzel: I think I found the libvirt problem: https://salsa.debian.org/cloud-team/debian-vagrant-images/-/blob/master/utils/vagrant/libvirt/metadata.json#L4 19:59:43
@_oftc_jochensp:matrix.orgjochensp FestplattenSchnitzel: can you change that to 1000 in your PR? (I still need to run resize2fs /dev/vda1 in there, though) 20:07:25
@festplattenschnitzel:matrix.orgFestplattenSchnitzelYep, did that.20:23:37
@_oftc_jochensp:matrix.orgjochenspthx20:24:55
@festplattenschnitzel:matrix.orgFestplattenSchnitzel

I also found out, that this parameter is actually needed:

Virtual size has to be set for allocating space in storage pool.

https://github.com/vagrant-libvirt/vagrant-libvirt/blob/master/lib/vagrant-libvirt/action/handle_box_image.rb#L137

20:25:13
@_oftc_jochensp:matrix.orgjochensp hm.. the image I generated on the gcc host actually hangs in grub rescue (not at "Waiting for domain to get an IP address...") 20:33:05
@_oftc_jochensp:matrix.orgjochenspI will upload my locally generated image20:33:43
@_oftc_jochensp:matrix.orgjochenspmy findings for today: vagrant up --provider=libvirt on gcc hangs in grub (same image works on my PC). qemu parameters looks reasonably similar, manually running qemu with the image works. qemu is the same version (modulo bullseye-backports, libvirt is the same version (installed from testing to match my unstable)22:03:20
@_oftc_jochensp:matrix.orgjochenspI upgraded the gcc box to bullseye without problems and fdroid --server still works22:04:52
@_oftc_jochensp:matrix.orgjochenspalso dpkg -V shows nothing and I did a manual search for extra files on the system (found /etc/libvirt/qemu/buildserver_default.xml, /etc/modprobe.d/kvm-intel.conf, /etc/profile.d/vagrant_disable_symlinks_in_shared_folders.sh, /usr/local/bin/enable_kvm_nesting.sh) but nothing seems relevant22:12:37
@_oftc_jochensp:matrix.orgjochenspalso nested kvm is enabled22:12:45
