Bubu | I have this to share: https://forum.f-droid.org/t/spinster-app-removal/7882
Which is definitely not everyones favourite topic but we need to find a solution for this at some point and I'd like to have it done sooner rather than later | 13:49:53 |
Microbe | awsome news, congrats! | 13:50:49 |
Bubu | By getting it done I mean finding a more general solution/guidelines on how we can deal with such problems in the future as they will turn up again and again | 13:51:00 |
Bubu | EOF from me. | 13:52:12 |
_hc | yeah, I hope to also bring up that topic in the MA7 workshops. Some of the other MA7 projects are directly related to handling flame wars and hate speech on the internet | 13:52:16 |
Bubu | Oh, that sounds great! | 13:52:39 |
_hc | I guess "forum" is a better word than "workshop" in English, the idea is to get various experts on the topic together to discuss specific problems | 13:53:17 |
_hc | we'll just use machine learning to do it automatically ;-) | 13:53:57 |
_hc | yeah no | 13:54:04 |
_hc | but that's not a central topic, so I think mostly we'll just get some advice from people who study this stuff | 13:56:44 |
jochensp | Bubu: I can't read the spinster link, can you give me access? | 13:59:42 |
jochensp | and great news _hc! | 13:59:48 |
jochensp | not much news from me, I did some stuff in fdroiddata but not much time right now | 14:00:13 |
jochensp | EOF | 14:00:19 |
Bubu | jochensp: your forum account is jspricke I assume? | 14:01:08 |
jochensp | yes | 14:01:17 |
jochensp | thx | 14:02:24 |
Bubu | 👍️ | 14:02:35 |
_hc | oh I forgot: for the machine learning component, we plan on using the GCC cfarm boxes for that. I tihnk there are 4 in total, with 2 basically being unused | 14:08:27 |
Bubu | Oh, another thing. We could definitely need 2 more forum moderators. | 14:08:32 |

Andreas | I've got a question about usage of SafetyNet in my app: If I were to invoke ProviderInstaller.insertProvider() on KitKat to enable TLS 1.2, using 5 lines of open source code (rather than the proprietary Google Play Services client library), would that mean I have to declare an AntiFeature in the yml? Note that my app would not *depend* on SafetyNet being available – it would simply not support TLS 1.2 on KitKat if SafetyNet is not present. | 17:14:27 |

I don't see which antifeature would apply here. | 17:18:39 |
Andreas | Bubu: Hopefully none. I thought I'd just ask beforehand. In case you're interested the code is here: https://gitlab.com/oeffi/oeffi/commit/88994d63b00351af0b58a731834bebeee18599c1 | 18:10:43 |
