@SylvieLorxu:matrix.org@SylvieLorxu:matrix.orgThere are no logs related to signing there though?08:36:42
@freenode_jochensp:matrix.orgjochenspsounds like a good task to add one :)08:37:09
@eighthave:matrix.org_hcunfortunately not. Someone needs to implement that.08:37:11

Well then I come back to...

But how will we run a test setup that can reliably reproduce it if nobody knows the exact steps that Ciaran takes to sign and everything?

Sylvia: we know the exact steps, they are all in fdroidserver
And this is quite an unclear answer honestly. Is there no wiki documentation that does not require figuring out a very complex codebase?

@eighthave:matrix.org_hcit is known and documented, and in CI: https://gitlab.com/fdroid/fdroidserver/-/blob/master/jenkins-test#L6508:38:50
@eighthave:matrix.org_hcyes the docs could be greatly improved08:39:20

Okay that is actually somewhat helpful

@freenode_izzy:matrix.orgizzy Just wondering: Is Google Protobuf F/LOSS at all? They started with Apache-2.0 in 2008, but shortly thereafter the license file started reading "all rights reserved": https://github.com/protocolbuffers/protobuf/blob/master/LICENSE 21:18:09
@SylvieLorxu:matrix.org@SylvieLorxu:matrix.orgLooks like 3-clause BSD21:18:51
@freenode_izzy:matrix.orgizzy If that's not an acceptable F/LOSS license (I cannot even tell which one that should be), I guess many apps will have a huge problem. 21:18:54
@freenode_izzy:matrix.orgizzy Sylvia: thanks, let me cross-check… 21:19:13
@freenode_izzy:matrix.orgizzyUgh… yes, seems to match (cleaning up sweat)21:20:20
