@freenode_izzy:matrix.orgizzyWe just got another ping at Mastodon from someone who set up this:19:34:42
@freenode_izzy:matrix.orgizzyhttps://www.gofoss.today/foss-apps/19:34:45
@freenode_izzy:matrix.orgizzy They ask: "If you have a minute, let us know what you think or how we can further help contribute to your project." 19:35:51

Apps in that list seem duplicated in each domain and not so selective... Some good foss apps are missing (e.g. bitwarden, collabora office), although they are not exactly on F-droid

proletarius101: touch metadata/org.xphnx.ameixa.yml; ../fdroidserver/fdroid build --all --latest works for me
Btw I finally get it work. Looks like the android sdks installed in that VM are messed up
23:00:24
@proletarius101:matrix.orgproletarius101Which means otherwise most apps builds well on buster, even with java8 from stretch rather than the adoptopenjdk23:01:56
@proletarius101:matrix.orgproletarius101But if adoptopenjdk is more recommended, pleat warn me23:02:52
@freenode_izzy:matrix.orgizzy proletarius101: better report to them, not to me ;) 23:05:08
@DzzzzzzR:matrix.orgdazinismIt annoys me that bitwarden uses accessibility services. Granting that gives allows an app to totally take control of your phone. And can hide itself & stop you being able to easily remove23:51:25
@DzzzzzzR:matrix.orgdazinismHopefully it's unlikely bitwarden will get compromised in a way that someone could leverage all those people that have granted that23:52:30
@DzzzzzzR:matrix.orgdazinismBut it acts to normalize granting that to apps23:52:50
@DzzzzzzR:matrix.orgdazinismIt's really common that nasty malware uses it23:53:19
@DzzzzzzR:matrix.orgdazinism KeepassDX for the win 😜23:55:34

@freenode_jochensp:matrix.orgjochensp proletarius101: nice! Re jdk 8: I would love to see it not installed by default but only on request (I don't know about adoptopenjdk). Also, did you try Debian bullseye? (Just suggestions, moving away from stretch is more important) 04:19:12

Well, it still uses the autofill framework. Accessibility service is for those apps to fill who don't comply with the autofill framework

Bullseye is about to release. It's just _hc gives me a VM with buster not bullseye.
05:41:35
@proletarius101:matrix.orgproletarius101I can try to do a dist upgrade after this build finishes05:42:11
@freenode_jochensp:matrix.orgjochensp huh, don't you spawn new VMs in there? 05:42:27
@proletarius101:matrix.orgproletarius101But I believe they are similar05:42:31

Eh, my VM is granted by _hc so I don't have that permission until he does that for me?
05:43:30
@freenode_jochensp:matrix.orgjochensp hm.. normally you should be allowed to spawn new VMs inside your VM, that's how fdroidserver does it 05:44:04

Oh, that's true
05:45:51
@proletarius101:matrix.orgproletarius101I just try to do a test fastly, so no spawning for every app05:47:26
@freenode_jochensp:matrix.orgjochenspI see, so we still need to adopt all the automation stuff05:48:19
