@SylvieLorxu:matrix.orgSylviaI can also just ping thermatk :)07:44:21
@rdfg77:kde.orglinsuiI prefer it's maintained by you but not a problem to me. I don't use Telegram anyway... The Chinese room is bridged with an existing Telegram room and it also works well.07:46:46
@SylvieLorxu:matrix.orgSylviaWonder who maintains that one07:47:22
@SylvieLorxu:matrix.orgSylviaWe really need to have some list of contacts xD07:47:34
@rdfg77:kde.orglinsui IIRC it's maintained by yzqzss . 07:48:05
@rdfg77:kde.orglinsuiAh, right, see https://forum.f-droid.org/t/topic/16063/22.07:50:17
@_oftc_Licaon_Kter[xmpp]:matrix.orgLicaon_Kter[xmpp] _hc: I understand that git is your to go tool of choice :) but translations need to be on Weblate which is the translation tool of choice. Yes the Git* UI is not hard to learn but Weblate is made for translations, and with the automated external services it helps us grately. 08:15:24

@_oftc_Licaon_Kter[xmpp]:matrix.orgLicaon_Kter[xmpp]Pfft..08:15:39
@rdfg77:kde.orglinsuiIt seems now only the simple translate works. Does it only happen to me?08:16:46
@_oftc_Licaon_Kter[xmpp]:matrix.orgLicaon_Kter[xmpp] That Google/Deepl/Bing/etc don't show automated? Yes, gone for me for a while too, I thought that maybe it's a browser setting/ads blocking/thirdparty thing locally 08:17:58
@rdfg77:kde.orglinsuiThen it's not...08:21:27
@_oftc_Licaon_Kter[xmpp]:matrix.orgLicaon_Kter[xmpp]They have ratelimits, so not hard to imagine Weblate host reaching them.08:22:50

In reply to @rdfg77:kde.org
Mathijs (F-droid): What's the plan for the Telegram bridge? Do you have a Telegram account and will do that youself? Or we need to find a Telegram for that?
Right, I am back from vacation, this is indeed pending on someone with a telegram account that can create a telegram room
08:33:26
@mathijs:matrix.vgorcum.comMathijs Als Sylvia mentioned, afaik the telegram ends for other bridged fdroid rooms are done by thermatk 08:34:27
@mathijs:matrix.vgorcum.comMathijsSo I would argue that having that consistent is worthwhile08:34:48

I was thinking more that some translators would rather work directly with the blog posts Markdown file than using Weblate, GitLab, etc.
08:41:14
@_oftc_Licaon_Kter[xmpp]:matrix.orgLicaon_Kter[xmpp] Even so I'd like them to use Weblate so that UI does the language checks and so on 08:45:44
@festplattenschnitzel:matrix.orgFestplattenSchnitzel joined the room.08:54:52
@eighthave:matrix.org_hcyeah, that would be hard to provide outside of Weblate.09:26:41
@kbdk:matrix.orgK.B.Dharun KrishnaHi, was reviewing Tamil strings, I noticed that WiFi had inconsistent capitalization across source strings in some places it is referred to as Wi-Fi whereas in it other places it is WiFi or wifi. I guess we can update the strings to follow a single convention. (Ref. https://hosted.weblate.org/browse/f-droid/f-droid/en/?q=WiFi&sort_by=-priority%2Cposition&checksum=)10:35:35

Doesn't the Weblate file download/upload function fill that need?
12:06:27
@eighthave:matrix.org_hcI don't know, I only do a little translation for German, and mostly corrections. If translators are happy with translating blog posts in Weblate, then I think we can try to make it work. Seems like trying Weblate's new Markdown support makes sense.13:09:14
@eighthave:matrix.org_hc linsui: could you try adding new test component for fdroid-website-posts with the Markdown mode? 13:09:37
@eighthave:matrix.org_hcAs long as we don't merge those commits, I think it won't break production.13:09:54
@_oftc_Licaon_Kter[xmpp]:matrix.orgLicaon_Kter[xmpp] GunChleoc (co-shaoghal.net): should work iirc 13:09:57
@eighthave:matrix.org_hcThat does mean using gettext format for the file download/upload though, and I don't think many people know how to convert Markdown to gettext13:10:33
@eighthave:matrix.org_hcIf Weblate is directly working with Markdown, then that problem is solved.13:10:53
