Sylvia | In reply to @erack:tchncs.de Will the then latest Element version to fix the critical vulnerability be ready tomorrow for F-Droid? Can confirm we are aware and will make it available as soon as reasonably possible, but our build system isn't completely set up for this kind of stuff | 08:40:01 |

Sylvia | In reply to @quantum_cover:matrix.org Isn't the Fdroid version of Element updated when notified by their developers? Yes, it is. So in this case had to check if that okay was given and it seems it was | 09:27:31 |
Sylvia | In reply to @blippitybloopy:privacytools.io Are the F-droid maintainers aware of the existence of Schildi.chat too? I sadly don't know if there has been communication about that, hopefully Marcus can answer that | 09:28:15 |
Quantum Cover | Have you guys published the repository release cycle of the apps? | 09:35:17 |
jochensp | Quantum Cover: it is manual, approx every three days | 09:36:12 |
Quantum Cover | Oh, I thought that when there were enough successful builds it would automatically release them | 09:42:23 |
jochensp | build apps need to be signed and keys for that are on an airgapped machine, so that's a manual process | 09:43:59 |
Quantum Cover | I see, thanks for the info | 09:46:02 |

In general I think the basic system apps (contacts, gallery, calendar, dialer, etc.) can be replaced quite well with simplemobiletools (https://www.simplemobiletools.com/).
Anyway, the apps on f-droid are free and the best way to find the ones you like best is to try them out. Download manager ? | 12:15:22 |
